Four years ago, Baufritz, a company specialising in ecological houses, presented a visionary concept house called «Haussicht». Now, «Waldsicht» in Köniz near Bern is a further evolution, built for a family of four. The transformation of the vision into reality - with the necessary adjustments to the plot, building regulations and budget - has been a success. Head of the company Dagmar Fritz, designer Alfredo Häberli and the client Oliver Washington and family are in agreement on this.

Alfredo Häberli's house «Waldsicht» in Köniz, Bern, combines ecology and design. His demands on good architecture are high: «I want to give a new-built house a soul that can be felt immediately when you move in,» says Alfredo Häberli. With his exhibition concepts, architectural projects and design drafts, the Zurich native is one of the most demanded designers worldwide. His design focuses on lightness and charm, while always being precise. Observation is the best form of thinking, is his philosophy. This attentive observation also benefited the designer's latest project: a family friend of his had asked him to design a house for them.
